01 Overview
Crafting a cafe experience that feels both nostalgic and new
Benne & Brew was envisioned as more than just a café, it was designed to become a familiar everyday corner where South Indian comfort meets a calm aesthetic.
We developed the brand from scratch, creating the identity system, logo, packaging, menus and overall brand language. Every touchpoint was carefully designed to balance warmth and modern simplicity, resulting in a café experience that feels approachable and memorable.

A logo rooted in warmth, simplicity, and everyday familiarity
The Benne & Brew typographic logo is inspired by the rounded, fluid forms of South Indian scripts, reimagined through a clean, contemporary type system. The softness of the letterforms reflects the brand’s food philosophy comfort-driven, familiar, and made to be enjoyed every day.

The Benne & Brew packaging system extends the brand’s warm and minimal identity into takeaway experiences through clean visuals and functional simplicity. Designed across cups, labels, and drink packaging, the system maintains consistency while feeling approachable, lightweight, and modern.

Designing a cohesive in-store brand experience
The in-store experience for Benne & Brew was designed to feel warm, nostalgic, and effortlessly welcoming. Through custom wall typography, arched architectural details, menu graphics, and earthy material tones, the space blends contemporary café aesthetics with the familiarity of traditional South Indian dining culture.
